Help the Homeless Week – Benefiting Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance

Join the Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance (MDHA) November 4, 2010 at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel for its first annual business breakfast for downtown businesses to kick-off “Help the Homeless” Week.  The event will honor former City of Dallas Homeless Czar Mike Rawlings and feature Chris Gardner, an engaging, nationally recognized authority on homelessness and author of The Pursuit of Happiness.

Hear the inspirational story of how Chris became the top earner at Bear Sterns & Co. after overcoming tremendous obstacles, including homelessness and a childhood marked by poverty, domestic violence, alcoholism, sexual abuse and family illiteracy.  Gardner’s autobiography was published in May 2006, and became a New York Times and Washington Post #1 best-seller.  He was also the inspiration and associate producer for the movie The Pursuit of Happiness, released by Columbia Pictures in December 2006.  Starring as Gardner, Will Smith received Academy Award, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild nominations in this #2 all-time domestic grossing drama.

Please consider the following opportunities and visit www.events.org/mdhabreakfast or call 214.354.5898 to secure your table or tickets today.  Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to network and contribute to MDHA’s commitment to end homelessness in the community.
